Revealed Hair Secrets of Jennifer Aniston
It surprised me today when I had a special client come in with a "picture of what she wanted," in which I thought for sure would be Jennifer A, to my surprise it was Heather Locklier.
Regardless, I know many of my cliets share the love for simple and sweet Jennifer Aniston. Elle Magazine is running an article where they have interviewed one of her former hair stylists to gain a little insight into what makes her hair work.
"Starting from the first season of Friends and the dubbed Rachel hair-DO was "inspired by a model named Beri Smither—Ward Stegerhoek that did her hair at the time. She was wearing this really great shag haircut—it wasn’t the Rachel, but it inspired me." They also explain that "Faye Dunaway’s hairstyle in Bonnie and Clyde was the inspiration for Jen’s bob" (which she sported in 2000 and 2001).
Rachel evolved after McMillan urged Aniston to grow her bangs out. "The next thing you know," McMillan says, "her bangs were down to her chin, and the rest of her hair was at her shoulders in these long, loose layers that sort of flipped out—and that’s what we called the Rachel."
